Karate

MMA
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the fastest growing area of Martial Arts today. MMA can be defined as a combat sport in which two competitors attempt to achieve dominance over one another by utilizing a wide variety of permitted martial arts techniques, including striking and grappling. Well-known MMA organizations include the Ultimate Fighting Championship and PRIDE Fighting Championships. The techniques utilized in MMA competition generally fall into two categories: striking techniques (such as kicks, knees and punches) and grappling techniques (such as clinch holds, pinning holds, submission holds, sweeps, takedowns and throws).
Kickboxing
If you are interested in trying your hand at the sport of Kickboxing, we have everything you are looking for. Whether you strive to be the next great fighter to come out of Tulsa, or would just like an exciting way to get in shape while learning the same sport that took Apollo Cook around the world, Apollo’s Karate has plenty of space, a professional ring and all the pads, gloves, heavy bags and protective gear you would need to learn in a fun, safe environment. We also offer the best, most well known coaches and trainers in the area, and feature several active Fighters in the area.
Ketsugo Jiu Jitsu
Ketsugo Jiu Jitsu combines traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu along with Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. This style incorporates throws, locks and holds from traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu which have been proven effective in real life self defense situations. Additionally different ranges are addressed including a heavy emphasis on ground fighting taken from Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. One of the more exciting aspects of this system is the realistic approach to weapons defense and disarms.
Women’s Cardio Kickboxing
Apollo's offers a women-only Cardio Kickboxing class that allows women a challenging workout in a comfortable environment. Come get in shape and join the fun of participating in the fastest growing exercise program in the world. It is designed to get you in shape while teaching the basic self defense techniques, its fun, and a big way to relieve stress.

Apollo's Karate has the areas largest martial arts training staff, offering 12 with full time head teaching instructors and 24 assistant instructors. Each instructor is armed to provide professional instruction in a fun, safe environment.

John Cook

John is a fifth degree black belt and has been involved in martial arts over 32 years. He is currently Chief Instructor of the children's program at the 51st & Mingo location and a phenominal teacher with both children and adults. He also teaches the ladies fitness kickboxing class.
Jamie Mickle
Chief Jiu Jitsu Instructor

Jamie "Jamo" Mickle holds a a third degree black belt in Ketsugo Jiu-Jitsu and has over 17 years of Martial Arts and has also extensively trained in Aikido, Muay Thai and JKD. Jamo is Chief Jiu-Jitsu Instructor at the 51st and Mingo location.

"Ms. Jameie" has been involved in Martial Arts for 30 years and holds a fourth degree black belt in Karate.She is the Program Director and Event Coordinator at 51st & Mingo location, her extensive experience in martial arts and the fight industry have also lead her to be the Xtreme Fighting Matchmaker.

Regina has been involved in Martial Arts for
over 25 years. Chris and TC are both professional kickboxers as well as advanced instructors. You cannot find a better set of instructors for both children and adults.
Trey Simpson

Mr. Trey is a Third Degree Black Belt and has been involved in Martial Arts for 20 years. He is a Blue Belt in Jiu Jitsu under Carlos Machado and a profressional kickboxer and mixed martial artist who competes in XFL events. He is a great instructor for both children and adults.
